Young Audience Film Weekend

The Young Audience Film Weekend is a great opportunity for young film lovers to engage with European cinema in a meaningful way. Whether attending in person or participating online, this event promises to inspire, entertain, and foster a deeper appreciation for the art of filmmaking. Don’t miss out on this extraordinary experience.

The Young Audience Film Weekend is organized by the European Film Academy and with the support of Creative Europe MEDIA, Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung GmbH (MDM)and the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.

Young Audience Film Summit 2023, now in its 3rd edition, focuses on “The Future of Humanity”.

The Summit is co-created and hosted by young people with 30 young people from more than 15 countries attending in person in Erfurt, Germany and 100 more interacting online.

Young people co-creating European Film Club have chosen to explore sub themes such as climate change, human rights, the societal impact of the pandemic, especially on young people’s mental health as well as looking at visions of utopia and what dystopian future we may face if we do nothing. This Summit will be streamed online on our website.

The launch is followed by a simultaneous screening of EVERYTHING WILL CHANGE in more than 30 cinemas (check the map below for the screening locations), film discussions in every cinema and a streamed Q&A session where young people can ask questions to some of the creative minds behind the film: director Martin Persiel and leading actor Paul Raymond.
